Students graduating with a Bachelor of Healthcare Administration and Management will be able to:
- Effectively present information orally and in writing.
- Analyze and describe business and organizational management skills required in healthcare settings.
- Identify and describe skills required for ethical leadership in healthcare.
- Identify and describe concepts of healthcare quality management.
- Analyze and describe the administration and management of healthcare resources.
- Identify and analyze factors that influence health and wellness.
- Examine the role and related effects of healthcare law, policy, and regulation.
- Integrate a Christian perspective as it relates to healthcare administration.
HCA 405: Quality Management in Healthcare
This course presents a study of the foundational components of healthcare quality management with a strong emphasis on creating a culture of continuous improvement through performance evaluation and measurement, patient safety, and quality and safety reliability.
HSC 306: Pathophysiology for Public Health
This course introduces students to the basic pathogenesis of disease in human beings. The course will describe the most common disorders as they relate to each major body system while exploring the etiology, risk factors, diagnostic and prognostic procedures of each disease.
COM 425: Organizational Communication
Examination of the nature and process of communication in modern organizations, including theories, change strategies, internal personnel relations, and conflict management, as they relate to organizational cultures.
